“Metamorphosis” - 24x24”, oil on canvas by Sarah Joncas
This is the preview image for Sarah’s upcoming show at Thinkspace Gallery (opens June 16th).
Originally this was going to be a three-part sort of action-in-process thing, but then I got tired so this is all I’ve got. For now.
Two weeks ago I attended to a comic convention in Rosario. It’s called Crack Bang Boom and this was its second edition. I met lots of very nice people and I also bought so many comic books! (specially batman’s) After reading “Batman: Ego by Darwyn Cooke”, “Batman black and white”, “Brubaker’s Catwoman ” and “Batman Hush” I just had to draw my own version of some of the characters. Btw, my favorite character is Catwoman, but for some reason Harley Quinn is always interesting to me ;)

Wonder Woman. I am tired of seeing this character looking very muscular, so I decided to create my own version of Wonder Woman, with my style, making her look more feminine … despite her being an amazone :)

Stephanie Brown - Girl Wonder. I like this character, she is persevering. As always, I have modified some details of the original costume. I hope you like it!

Every Gothic novel has someone tall, dark, devastatingly good-looking and dangerous to know… on account of they hate everyone they know.
